Privacy policy
What happens to the details you give when you ask about windows or doors through Crowborough Windows & Doors.
What is collected
When you send the enquiry form, it collects your name, phone number, email address if you give one, postcode, what needs replacing and any message you write about your house. When you phone, the installer receives your number and whatever you tell them on the call.
Why, and on what basis
Your details are used only to respond to your enquiry: to arrange a survey and send a quote for windows or doors at the address you describe. The legal basis is your request for a quote, which is a step towards a possible contract, and the legitimate interest in replying to you.
Who receives it
The form is sent by email to the FENSA-registered installation company that handles enquiries for Crowborough and the surrounding villages. That company becomes responsible for your details from then on, and its own privacy notice applies to the quote and any work. Your details are not sold, and not shared with anyone else for marketing.
The form is processed on Cloudflare's network, which hosts this site. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
How long it is kept
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. If you go ahead, the installer keeps records for as long as the law and the guarantee require.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, or object to their use, by asking the installer when they contact you, or by phoning the number on this site. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
